"Without music, life would be a mistake." - Nietzsche

Established in 1993 Strings is a house concert dedicated to

the presentation of original acoustic music.

The Strings Archive Recordings

Each Wednesday a new concert recording from the Strings archive will be available for listening.
Each concert will only be available for two weeks.

Blackwell & Michael, 2005

Guitarist Dorian Michael has excelled in about every style there is, from honky-tonk electric to solo fingerstyle acoustic. Mandolinist/guitarist Kenny Blackwell, a long time member of the famed Laurel Canyon Ramblers, is a bluegrass picker extraordinaire. Together, they perform a wide variety of roots music, sure to keep your toes a-tapin' and your heart a-beatin'. The duo's diverse backgrounds are the wellspring for a performance of exciting and heartfelt music.

Still on the Hill, 2001

The Arkansas duo of Kelly and Donna Mulhollan have been described as "Ambassadors of the Ozarks" for the work they do to preserve a rich culture that is quickly disappearing. Masters of the story-telling song, they often embellish their tales with unique instruments, usually "home made" in the hills they call home. Distinctive, unique, and thoroughly enjoyable.
This concert was the first of many appearances at Strings by Still on the Hill. Last week to listen to Kelly & Donna.
