I am a dyed-in-the-wool illustrator and painter. I studied at the Art Institute of Boston and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. My interest in history led me to work first in newspaper design, and after a short period in the advertising business, working with music and entertainment-related clients. I am best known for having designed more than seventy concert posters for The Fillmore and a handful of bands and promoters, including Phish and The Dave Matthews Band. I find a great deal of joy in the process of drawing and sketching, which has led me into a wide variety of work, including renderings for designers and architects and the sketches that I publish in the Strings newsletter. My days are spent mostly drawing or painting and hanging out with my dog, Bob Dylan.
Blues, Beatles, Pop-Rock, Love songs, John Mayer, Elvis, Punk, Rockabilly, Reggae, Swing, Lyle Lovett, Don Henley, Snake Trio, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Django Reinhart, Jimmi Hendrix, The Police, Heavy Metal once in a while, Yes, Jazz, Paul Simon, Funk, Jam and Ambient music. Go Figure!
